Read What Our Students at Lancaster Are Saying...
A Training Center is only as good as the students that fill its classrooms.  If our students are not successful, we are not successful.   Below are just a few of the many student success stories happening at ComputerTraining.com at Lancaster, Pennsylvania LLC.

"I have a college degree in Business Administration and knew the ins and outs of basic Microsoft office applications and used them very effectively. Mostly PowerPoint, Word & Excel. I was always the go-to guy to help others in the office fine tune their presentations, documents and troubleshoot if they were having a computer issue. And lots of times the IT person at the office would hit a wall with a problem or issue and ask me to take a crack at it. In fact I had a few incidents where the IT guy was upset that I fixed a few issues in much faster than he did. I knew enough to be a resource but lacked the credentials and formal training that would allow me to take it to the next level. I didn't know anything of servers other than they were shared resources for multiple users. I knew there was a hierarchy and that you could do things from the server to make changes for multiple users but didn't know how to execute it or how easy or difficult that could be.

I was successful making good commissions and a decent living but not happy with what I was doing and couldn't see myself in my current role for thirty more years. I was nearing my mid 30's. I know I have a long time to go till retirement and that it was time to get a job where I could have fun and enjoy what I was doing.

I know there are lots of potential students that say the same thing and I hate to be cliché but I had been kicking the idea of a career change for over six years, taking the Online Skills Challenge and scoring well, but most times I took the exam under a fake name and e-mail address. Not wanting to be solicited to sign up for classes or pressured, etc. I knew ComputerTraining.com was there if I decided to take the next steps.

So I began my research - online tests, personality tests, profiles there are a lot of good resources people can find and the majority of them pointed me to IT administrator as a good fit based on my aptitude, personality and other interests. I had already set up a home wireless network for my laptops, computers and various video game systems mostly just by following the enclosed directions or researching it on the internet or books. My brother in law who is a PC technician came over to check it and told me it was the most secure home network he had seen by someone without an IT background.

Being a father to two young children, working full-time and going to school seemed to be a tough proposition, after talking it over with my wife she said six months towards a new career would be worth it in the end. It is not easy attending class, studying, working and juggling life in general, but with the proper commitment and support you can be successful. My wife has noticed how much happier I am now that I have a job doing something I enjoy and the pay is great too.

If you are on the fence with this decision, take the Online Skills Challenge, visit a ComputerTraining.com center - make the change, don't wait. That first step is the hardest."

"Before coming to ComputerTraining.com, I used computers on a fairly regular basis. I had a decent understanding of how to use computers and how to fix minor problems. In the workplace I started finding myself often being the “go to” person before having to call the administrator. Working very physically demanding shifts with low wages and seeing myself going nowhere fast, I started thinking that maybe I could combine my love of helping people with my budding technical skills.

I started hearing ComputerTraining.com commercials on the radio and thought “Why not? What do I have to lose?” I was a bit nervous at first, not sure if I had what it would take to succeed in this field. Once classes started and saw that I wasn’t the only one with similar concerns, I put my mind to rest and focused on the task at hand.

I love the career field I am in now. I have a lot more opportunities and room for advancement than in all my previous jobs. A wise man once told me “Life is what you make of it” and that is exactly right. I think the best advice I would give to students entering the program is to read as much as possible and take as many practice tests as possible.

Deciding to go to ComputerTraining.com was probably one the best decisions I have made for myself. My life is now starting to go in the direction I like it to be. I am no longer worried about my future because I know that I will always have the skills I learned here and always be able to build on them.  I enjoy traveling and I will now be able to pick up and go more than I could have in the past. Also, I would like to thank everyone at ComputerTraining.com for believing in me and giving me this wonderful life changing opportunity."

"For years I had been working in the data and telecom industry. I thought I knew enough about networking to at least be able to have discussions with the IT people of the world. One moment a few years ago changed that. While working on the telecom side of a business installation, I had to go over some things with their IT person concerning ports and the network setup. After only a few minutes of conversation, he told me that speaking to me about any of this was useless because I obviously do not know nearly anything about true networking. I became very angry and left the room and then I realized something… he was right.

That moment motivated me to want to learn. I heard all of the radio adds for ComputerTraining.com and decided to give it a shot. That was two and a half years ago. Now I am the guy that people go to for advice and help concerning networking. The class at ComputerTraining.com was just incredible. I engulfed the opportunity and took full advantage of all of the resources that were available to me. The instructor was very intelligent concerning the Microsoft products. I had questions and he had answers.

Being at that class changed my life. It made me realize that no matter how difficult or challenging any type of learning material is, if you study hard, ask questions and be patient, the answers will come to you. I know at first everything is very overwhelming and seems to be somewhat impossible to learn, but patience and good study habbits will make you achieve excellent results.

The only regret I have about the class is not starting it sooner. Being out in the IT field now I realize that there are many IT people out there that do not know as much as they think they know. Computertraining.com will give you the knowledge and ability necessary to slowly become a top tier IT Engineer."

"Prior to attending ComputerTraining.com, my background in computers was only self-taught. I wanted to be able to say that I know something so well that I could make a career out of it. After attending, I now have a great paying job with awesome hours where my skills and knowledge are truly tested on a daily basis.

The biggest concern that I had about attending was definitely how I was going to afford the schooling. After a few weeks of talking it over with my family and thinking things over, I decided to take a chance on myself, and give this a go!

I would urge new students to keep on going. Don’t stop or slow down just because you are afraid of failing! You will succeed and leave all the naysayers in the dust! If you are lacking in certain areas, focus a little harder on them while maintaining your current skills of the certifications.

Attending ComputerTraining.com has changed my career and my life! I now have a job that I look forward to and enjoy. I have a true opportunity for advancement with my present company. My family is also enjoying this because now I no longer need to worry about money or if my next paycheck will be enough to provide for us. I can now say that we are truly on our way!"

"I kept hearing a radio ad for ComputerTraining.com and I decided it was time for a change. I have to admit, I had minimal computer skills so I was a bit nervous about not being able to keep up with the class. Once I started, I realized I wasn’t the only beginner.

With the skills I’ve gained from ComputerTraining.com, I was finally able to start my career! I now have a great job with a lot of opportunity to advance. Looking back on my time spent here, I know I made a great career choice. It's not easy, but it is well worth it!"

"My computer background before coming to Computertraining.com was not that extensive. I had set up a workgroup at my home, and designed a website and that was the extent of it. I decided to attend computertraing.com, and work toward my MCSE because I always enjoyed computers and the thought process behind computer problems, I was also unhappy with the hours I had to work in the car business, and getting ready to start a family I wanted to have nights and weekends off, so that alone really got the ball moving on working to obtain my MCSE.

The thing I like the most about my new career is that I have a life. I am able to work hard, and then go home and have fun with my family. Before I couldn't enjoy my weekends, or even my evenings, because I was working late. The opportunities that have came before me are great, The only thing that is in the middle of me and my goals is myself, that’s it.

My biggest concern before entering the program was that I wouldn't finish. I was wrong. I had a lot thrown at me personally but that never stopped me from working hard, and having fun throughout the course. I overcame the hardship when I walked through those classroom doors I acted like I didn't have any problems and it worked. I had to put school first and all the other problems I had second, it may have been difficult to do but I knew the outcome was more than I ever could have dreamed of. The best advice I can give you is study, study, study, and never give up. What ever life is going to throw at you let it come, but don't let that bring you down, or get in the way of your dreams and goals, I know I didn't. Don't forget to have fun, its only six months of your life, relax and enjoy the ride. This could be your life changing moment like it was for me.

My overall experience at Computertraining.com was excellent. They gave me the knowledge I needed, and helped me find a job out in the field. Now I can go home at night and relaxed and have fun for a change. It was by far one of the best choices I have made.

So I leave you with this task. When you step inside these doors to attend class, leave all of your thoughts and problems behind you. Life will always be there. So go out there and reach for all of your goals. I wish the best to all of the future MCSE’s."

"Before I started at ComputerTraining.com, I was self taught in Windows 3.1.  I have always been fascinated by computers and enjoyed the challenge of fixing them when something went wrong.  After ten years of encouragement from my husband to go back to school, I finally took the plunge.  I realized that without an education, I would never be able to get into the computer field.

I was able to get through the program with a lot of prioritization and time management.  Anyone who goes through the program must have the desire and drive. It helped me to take things day by day while still keeping the big picture in mind.

My new job doesn’t even seem like a “job.”  Now that I am in a field I enjoy, my job seems less like work and more like fun. My new employer offers many more opportunities and perks than any of my old employers. Going through this program opened a lot more doors."

"My interest in computers started back in the days of the Tandy Model I. I was always happiest when I was sitting in front of a computer. I spent every spare moment at the computer, but it never occurred to me I could be doing it for a career.

While driving to work one day I heard an advertisement for ComputerTraining.com and their Microsoft Certification program. Out of pure curiosity, I decided to check out their web site and take the Online Skills Challenge. Before I knew it, I was at the school observing an actual class. The students sitting there were no different than me with one single exception. They had made a decision to take control of their lives and to make an investment in themselves.

I can’t say that I wasn’t scared; all the really big decisions that are turning points in our lives are frightening. But it was time to make an investment in myself. So I put my fears aside and enrolled. I wish I could tell you that it was a walk in the park, but it wasn’t. It was hard work and it took dedication and perseverance to complete the course and achieve my Microsoft certifications. But I didn’t do it alone.

ComputerTraining.com was right there with me. They gave me the resources, training aides, hands on experience, and the best instructors this field has to offer did whatever it took, always concerned with my individual needs. It didn’t stop with my education either. The Career Services department refused to rest until I found the position that suited me personally. Not just any job, but the one that was the right fit for me.

Today, I am a Network Administrator for a world wide corporation with unlimited potential. I am no longer just getting by and going through the daily routine. I am doing what I love to do, and the best part is I’m getting paid to do it.

ComputerTraining.com’s dedication to excellence and to each individual student is not only the key to their success, but to yours as well."

"Before ComputerTraining.com, I had a basic knowledge of computers. I knew how to make files and folders and surf the net. I always had an interest in computers, but I thought I wouldn't be smart enough to ever learn about them. As I looked at my job situation at the time, seeing no room to advance and not really liking what I was doing, I decided to call ComputerTraining.com and see what it was all about. When I visited, the atmosphere was relaxing and I felt comfortable being there, so I enrolled.

When I began class, I started to get worried that I didn't have the time to properly study and the material might be too hard for me to comprehend. After a few weeks though, I had a schedule down that managed my time and gave me the proper study time. There were a few times throughout my course where I got side tracked but the instructor and junior trainers got me on the right path again. While in class, I stayed focused on the material being taught and listened to my instructor. A big help for me was that I tested within a week or two of finishing each book. So I didn't get behind.

Attending ComputerTraining.com helped boost my confidence and my abilities to achieve my goals professionally and personally. It also gave me a good foundation on expanding my computer horizons, as I am now working in different aspects of the IT field. I enjoy my profession and life and I thank ComputerTraining.com and it's staff for giving me the tools I needed to achieve my goals and dreams."

"Working in the automotive industry for fourteen years in dead-end jobs, I was ready for a change. So I joined the Army Reserves for a change of scenery. After completion of my training I knew that the automotive field was out, so I kicked around a few more dead-end jobs in search of a school that could fulfill my desire to learn.

I had been playing around with computers as a hobby since “DOS” was the best thing since color TV. So I looked into an IT course that would give me an education and not tie up two years of my life learning how to click “Start” to shutdown. After interviewing different schools in my area, ComputerTraining.com was the choice for me. They offered an aggressive learning curve with a high success rate for a six month course.

In my quest to succeed I worked hard to complete the course, with the reward being the first MCSE in the class and Perfect Attendance. After completing the course I was determined to land a position in the IT field right smack in the middle of a recession. Through determination, desire, and hard work I was offered a position working on the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) project for EDS (Electronic Data Systems).

In twelve weeks I had proved to my managers that not only was I committed to my work, but I was willing to go above and beyond the duties required of me. This in return has led to a promotion from Staging Technician to Staging Lead / Administrator. More responsibilities and learning comes with the promotion, in which brings new and more exciting challenges every day. Overall my experience with ComputerTraining.com has prepared me for challenges that require me to step up to a new level of professionalism, for which I will always be grateful.

To my instructor, I thank you for your desire to teach and willingness to help others succeed in a very demanding, and always changing field we call, “Information Technology”. You will always be in my prayers.

To those that may be contemplating a challenge: I challenge YOU to stop thinking and start learning."
